Child Labor

"Child Labor During the Early 1900's" is a 23 minute DVD and Lecture. It starts with a child during the huge influx of cheap labor from Europe.

It takes the child to Ellis Island, Mulberry Bend, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and other parts of the nation in order to find work. It shows the child working at in "Sweatshops," coal mines, farms, etc.

The lecture was given to fifth graders in Fair Lawn, NJ in 2005 & 2006.

"Women and Unions" is a 24 minute DVD and Lecture that begins with the immigrants in Mulberry Bend during the early 1900's.

It travels to Paterson, N.J, and other cities, depicting living conditions, i.e., the "Sweatshops," the Triangle Shirtwaist Fire, strikes, the Colorado Massacre, and indentured servitude.

It highlights Mother Jones, E.G. Flynn, Francis Perkins and other women in the labor union movement.

It was given at the Botto House in Haledon, NJ, the only labor museum in America.

The Struggle to Achieve the American Dream

"The Struggle to Achieve the American Dream" is a 22 minute DVD and Lecture that highlights the Italian American Experience in America from the Turn-of-the-Century to WWII.

It describes the living conditions, "Sweatshops, i.e., " the Triangle Shirtwaist Fire, strikes, indentured servitude, lynching, and WWII detention centers.

This DVD and Lecture has been given to libraries, Universities, Rotary Clubs, and many Italian American organizations throughout the Tri-State region.
